Don’t Have an Alcoholic Beverage … Gamble
by Aden on Jan.09, 2010, under Craps
If you like to indulge in a beer every now and then, leave your cash at home if you plan to do your consuming in a brick and mortar betting house. I am serious. Empty your handbag, your money belt, and leave all money, credit cards and checks at home. Take just the cash you are planning to use on beverages, tips and whatever loose change you intend to lose and leave the remainder behind.
Contemptuous? Not at all. Realistic more like. You might well experience a win after a drunken evening out with your buddies and be lucky enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a hot craps table. Hang on to that account because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and gamble. The 2 simply do not mix.
Leaving your money at home is a little dramatic, but defensive actions for drastic actions is relative and necessary. If you play to succeed, then don’t drink and play. If you can afford to toss away your money without a worry, then consume all the free booze your stomach can handle, but do not take bank cards and cheques to throw into the combination of chasing losses after your drunk as a skunk brain loses all the cash!
