Craps
Craps appears like a complicated game, and it certainly can be, but you do not have to understand all of the nuances to participate in it well and get a honest return. If you stay with the general bets with a low casino edge and don’t bet when you aren’t assured what it is you are wagering on and its odds.
By wagering on the pass line and purchasing odds you can bet with almost no house edge. This almost makes the saying ‘gamble’ false if you think about it.
Pass Line
The game begins by making a wager on the Pass or Do not Pass prior to the Come Out throw. If a 7 or eleven is rolled 1st you acquire a win and two, three, or twelve means you loss if you wager on pass. The converse is valid if you place a bet on Do not Pass. With the exception of 12 which is a push if you cast a bet Do not Pass. Almost all gamblers lay money on Pass, so if you pick Do not Pass, do not draw attention to yourself, particularly if you win. If you succeed that means everyone else just was defeated, and are not going to take kindly to boasting. Should any number besides 2, 3, seven, 11 or 12 are rolled first, that number is the point. Don’t place a bet on the Pass line after the Come Out toss, it is legal, but the probabilities are against you.
Purchasing the Odds
In order to take control of the betting with almost no casino edge, you must at first wager on the Pass Line. Next you can bet a multiple (depending on the casino) of your Pass bet that the point will be tossed before a 7. based on the number of the point, you can come away with up to 2:1.
Wagering along these basic lines will give you with honest hope of coming out a success. Add the thrills that the craps always seems to deliver and the only way to be deprived of it is not to compete.
